Trusting in the Lord means to abandon our own understanding of the way things are or should be, and to surrender to him.

I passionately believed that you can create a life on your terms. Then I met Michael, my baby. And he didn’t want to sleep.

When the outcomes we want are out of reach, we can get frustrated. Yet, God teaches us to trust and to leave the outcomes to him.

Has God ever asked you to take a step of faith? A huge step but He’s only shown you the first step to take. That step and nothing else?

The historical record of Abraham’s life doesn’t seem to point to him as a man of great faith, but instead as a man of a weak and doubting faith.

“You keep praying, but you’re only listening for the answer you want.” I was rattled to the core. I remember sobbing uncontrollably.

I used to give God advice on how to run my life but I’ve learnt a blank page in God’s hand is far more powerful than a full notebook in mine.

What are you running from? Where are you running to? This short story will have you longing for the freedom of wide open fields.

When we learn to make the presence of God the bedrock of our certainty, then we will be able to navigate through whatever may come our way.

Is it okay to not have God fully figured out and accept that you’ve reached the limits of your understanding?
